Veterans For Peace, Chapter 115 in cooperation with VFP 27 are holding the 12th annual Peacestock (formerly known as Pigstock) event in Red Wing, MN on Saturday, July 12,2014 starting at 9:00am and running till 8:00pm. Peacestock includes speakers, poets, musicians, and peaceful people from all over the Red Wing and Minneapolis/St. Paul area and Midwest.
We discuss various topics but this year our theme is "The Surveillance State" and our keynote speaker will be Ben Wizner, ACLU attorney and legal councel to Edward Snowdon. Mr. Wizner will be speaking about the future of government spying on its citizens and how it relates to
us in Veterans for Peace.
Other speakers will speak on other issues and they include, Chante Wolf, VFP 27; Jeff Nygaard, Melissa Hill and poet Thomas R. Smith.
The Wild Colonial Bhoys will provide terrific music.
