The March Across America has been an amazing experience. Meeting so many elder veterans and reaching out to younger veterans, participating in events and demonstrations throughout the southern US has convinced me to continue making peace activism my life's work. In San Francisco, opposing deportations, mass surveillance and Monsanto, and participating in Christmas Parades all the way down the coast, in San Diego, anti-drone actions and the Compassion Campaign with the venerable Chapter 91, and peace vigils and Stand-Downs in Arizona. In Texas, the Cesar Chavez March for Justice and outreach at the Alamo and the vigil at Ft.Hood in response to the shooting there.
Riding my bicycle through the bayous of Louisiana and Mississippi, rescuing animals and giving away food to the homeless, meeting dynamic personalities like Ward Reilly and Malachi Muncie, linking up with General Honore and his Green Army to oppose fracking, and of
course, the sweet anticipation of the Nat'l Convention.
