The 32nd annual Fair Saint Louis featured three days of free entertainment on the grounds of the Gateway Arch. Featured headliners included Heart on Wednesday, July 4, Third Eye Blind on Friday, July 6 and Dierks Bentley on Saturday, July 7. Activities also included two Independence Day runs in collaboration with the St. Louis Sports Commission, the 135th annual VP Parade themed “Parade Around the World,” air shows and more! VFP Chapter 61 members attended these concerts and shows, passing out "Costs of War" educational pamphlets to attendees of the events. Many individuals gladly accepted the pamphlets and asked questions about VFP in St. Louis.
Following the Fair, the party moves to Soldiers Memorial for two weekends of free music in the heart of the city at the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts. Featured headliners: Neon Trees on July 13, Michael Franti & Spearhead on July 14, The Offspring on July 20, and St. Louis’ own Nelly will wrap up this year’s concert series on July 21! VFP members of Chapter 61 will be present at these events to educate the public about VFP, the local chapter, and the war economy.
