Veterans For Peace President Susan Schnall to Speak at DC Rally

No to Trump’s VA Cuts, No to Genocide in Gaza, No to Mass Deportation!

Susan Schnall, national president of Veterans For Peace, will be in Washington, DC this Friday, March 14, to speak at a noontime rally being organized by grassroots veterans and supporters at the National Mall (between 6th & 7th Streets).

A former Navy nurse and hospital administrator, Ms. Schnall will make connections between government cuts in veterans’ healthcare and ordering mass deportations in the U.S., while supporting ethnic cleansing in Palestine.

Veterans are worried that they will lose their VA healthcare and other benefits due to Trump’s drastic cuts to the Veterans Administration,” says Veterans For Peace president Susan Schnall. “Veterans are worried about their brother and sisters, sons and daughters in the military, who don’t want to be part of genocide in Gaza or mass deportation in the U.S.

We veterans know what war looks like,” says VFP President Susan Schnall.  “We have participated in its death and destruction, and we have watched each other die. For wars that were based on LIES.

Are we supposed to sit back when our precious VA healthcare is under attack by greedy privateers?

Are we supposed to sit back and watch our government support blatant genocide in Gaza?

Would we be good citizens to simply stand by when our family members in the military are ordered to round up, imprison and deport our neighbors? And break up their families?

“You can say a lot of things about veterans.  But one thing is for sure: veterans do not give up. Our mission now to speak out for peace and justice everywhere.  And to organize.

Veterans, can you hear me?  If you want to be part of a great veterans’ organization, join Veterans For Peace.  We are 40-years-old and we have chapters in over 100 U.S. cities. Our mission statement dedicates us to exposing the true causes and costs of war, to restraining U.S. intervention around the globe, and to seeking justice for veterans and victims of war. “And we need you!

The Trump administration has proposed significant budget cuts to the Veterans Administration (VA), raising concerns among veterans and advocacy groups. These cuts would impact healthcare services, mental health programs, and disability benefits for millions of veterans. A memo from early March showed the VA is expected to try and cut almost 100,000 jobs from its agency by the middle of the year. This decision comes after the agency announced it cut more than 1,000 probationary employees in February.
