Richard Miller
Yesterday Chapter 46 recognized the passing of Richard Miller at age 81. The resolution states:
Be it resolved
Whereas Richard Miller, PhD, one of the oldest, most active members of the John Steinbeck IV Chapter of Veterans For Peace, has died on June 14, 2006 after battling ill health for many years, we, his fellow members of Veterans For Peace, recognize his many accomplishments: his military service as a Marine combat veteran in WWII, his years of teaching at Golden Gate College and the San Francisco Art Institute, his many writings as a member of PEN, and his passionate devotion and work toward the cause of peace.
Well done, Richard, friend and fellow peace worker. We will miss you, and we pledge to carry on your work.
Unanimously passed by those present on June 15, 2006
